FREE MOTION EMBROIDERY WORKSHOP

I now have scheduled dates for teaching, and I am very proud to be teaching through a fantastic and well established local store, the Patchwork Angel, at Forest Glen on the Sunshine Coast.  It is a beautiful store full of the most delicious fabrics, and even though you may think that my style of work is very different to what is on their webpage, rest assured, what I do is really not that different technique wise from what the traditional quilters do.
So, the first workshop I am teaching is Free Motion Embroidery, which is a fantastic tool to have, because it is so versatile.  I have been free motion embroidering for over 20 years now, and just love it to bits.  Here are some samples I have done up for the workshop, and let me assure you that I DO NOT digitize my embroideries, and I DO NOT have an embroidery machine.  Each of these little samples have been done with just the straight stitch and zig zag stitch.  It does take practice, but once you have the hang of it you can do lovely embroidery work too.  This workshop is not only for beginners, but also for those who have dabbled but want to learn what I do, what tools I use and approaches for different styles.  If you don’t want to embroider like this, but more like my header pic or art quilts, then that’s fine, you will learn to do that too, all the techniques are the same, just the designs are different.  To book in, please contact the Patchwork Angel.
