What’s been Afoot

I might not have posted much lately, but rest assured, the sewing machine is usually always occupied here, sometimes doing practical stuff, and sometimes creative.  Here’s a little creative piece I have just recently completed, I enjoyed making this embroidery, it’s only 5″ x 7″ big and is now framed.  It’s called Wallum Track, and based on a photo I took in the Mooloolah River National Park.  The wildflowers on display there in spring are magnificent, and are featuring more and more in my work at the moment.

The embroidery has been done on cotton fabric that I painted first, here’s a pic of the painting stage:

I have lots of photos of the area that I am hoping to turn in to more embroideries, all next on the creative list.
