Summary of 2025

2025 has been another creative year, seeing me exhibit with the Textile Art Group Qld at Bribie Island, and the Qld Wildlife Artists Society at Boonah, Mt Cooth-ha and Boondall. Sadly, Maleny Art Direct closed it’s doors, but still took my work to Downlands Art Exhibition at Toowoomba. Seaview Artists Gallery had big changes moving premises, and it is great to be set up in our new open airy space that looks fantastic. The council has been upgrading the beachfront outside our front doors, and it is going to be amazing when this is finished.

I was honoured to win 2 awards at the RNA Quilts Across Qld and 2 at the Gympie Heritage Maker’s Fair, and once again be a finalist in the Holmes Realistic Australian Bird Art Prize with “Song of Summer”, above.

Being a part of groups and exhibitions has kept me in touch with old aquaintances and enabled the making of new, which is always a bonus.

On a creative front, I have started working with a few new materials and techniques, which has been fun to do, and I am hoping on doing some more along these lines. “In the Flooded Field”, shown below, uses these new techniques, working on a canvas that I have thoroughly enjoyed using.

Next year I will continue along as I have been doing, creating more birds, beaches and wildflowers and see what eventuates!

Wishing all of my followers a very happy 2026, full of art, nature and creativity.
