Workshop Results

Late last year, I did a “Landscape Mosaic” workshop with the fabulously talented and lovely Gloria Loughman and very much enjoyed myself. We had to design our own piece, and with Gloria’s guidance our quilts came together. Mine, titled “on Bustard Head” was based on some holiday snaps I took a few years ago, and I just love the feeling it evokes in me of a wonderful holiday that we had. Bustard Head is a brilliant spot, unspoilt by development, just north of Bundaberg in beautiful Queensland The headlands in the distance are where the Town of 1770 and Agnes Water are (closest towns). The only way to get to it is either by boat, helicopter or (what we did) on the amphibious vehicle day trip.
Anyway, I do digress from quilting, here, but if you ever get the chance to do a workshop with Gloria, then jump at it, just seeing her quilts in the flesh is an awesome experience, she is a truly talented artist.
