It’s been a while since I posted, what with Christmas and the new year taking up my time. I have still been busy, always something going on here, sewing machine is never packed away unless spring cleaning behind it!
I managed to make this quilt, “Cabbage Whites”. It was an interesting challenge as I wanted to portray the dandelions with their long stems against a subtle background. I planned on a rectangular format, but found that it really needed to be more square. The beauty of making quilts is you can cut off the excess to get the format right.
And a selection of some country landscape embroideries based on scenes at and around Maleny. Most of these will be heading to a gallery in Maleny soon.
