The Holmes Prize for Realistic Australian Bird Art

For a second time running, I have been honoured to have been selected as a finalist in The Holmes prize for Realistic Australian Bird Art, with my work “Preening Pause”, a portrait of a male Australian Wood Duck I met at the Mt Cootha Botanic Gardens earlier this year.

The exhibition is currently open until mid October, so if you are near Mary Cairncross Scenic Reserve, Maleny Qld, pop in and have a look, there are some stunning artworks on display.

I will be there on Saturday 21st September, with my sketchbook and pencils demonstrating the art of drawing birds, with a few little works for sale.
