Cover Girl!

This week I got to be on the Front Cover of our local newspaper!!  How exciting  – never been a Cover Girl before!  It’s all to promote my local Quilter’s Club raffle and quilt show.  We are raising money for Guide Dogs Qld, and one of my works, “Flowers for the Lady“, is second prize.

The local newspaper, the Glasshouse Country News, had written a lovely article including a photo inside of the lovely Margarita that made the third prize, a beautiful leadlight lamp.  First prize, as seen on the cover, is a fantastic quilt made by the members of the Mountain Quilters.  You can read it all here – the article is on page 6.  I’m the one on the right, the lovely lady on the left is our President, Sherryl.

If you want to come to our Quilt Show, browse the quilts, buy a raffle ticket,  have a cuppa and meet some great friendly people, then this is where and when to go:

Peachester Community Hall, Peachester Road, Peachester Qld
Saturday 26th May   9am to 4pm
Sunday 27th May     9am to 3.30pm
Entry is $5 and wheelchair access is available.

I might just see you there!
